Density Testing – Test Administration
Administration

Who can use this feature?
By default, System Administrators
Purpose
The Test Administration page allows you to delete or move soil density tests to other projects. You can also reassign existing tests as retests – and vice versa. This page is helpful in rare situations where an incorrect test can’t be resolved by users in Field or QC, such as when:
- Field users enter a density test on the wrong project
- Field users enter an invalid density test that the project manager wants to delete
- You need to manually assign a completed density test as a retest.

Available actions
- Manage existing density tests (assign, clear retest, move, delete)
- Filter density tests by Project Number
- View history of density tests (test creator, last modified dates, etc.)
Managing Density Tests
To start, search for a project using the entire project number. Then select the checkbox of the density test(s) and use the following commands:
- Assign Retest Of: Assign a retest of the chosen test to the original field tech
- Clear Retest Of: Clear the retest status for the test
- Delete: Permanently delete the test record
- Move: Move the test record to another project
- History (🗓️): View history of the test (creator, creation date, etc.)

Confirmation Messages
You’ll be notified with a confirmation message under the following conditions:
- If a report has been created for one of the tests being moved or deleted
- If tests of different Test Types (e.g., Sand Cone and Soil Nuclear Gauge) are selected
- If a selected test is related to other tests (Once a test is deleted or moved, these relationships will be removed)
Important Reminders
- The entire project number must be entered when using this page
- Tests and associated retests must always be moved or deleted together
- Moving or deleting tests renumbers the remaining tests on the project
- Moving a test to another project will remove the proctor (the proctor must be reselected after moving the test, and the test must be re-run)
