Overview - Accreditation

Who can use this feature? 

By default, Admin users with Accreditation permissions

Purpose

With Accreditation, you create, store, and manage lab accreditation records. Here are some benefits it can offer your firm:

• Save time accessing, updating, and managing accreditation docs 
• Keep all accreditation records organized and up to date in one place 
• Protect your firm by ensuring your lab records are well-documented  

If your firm does not have access to Accreditation and you’re interested, please contact your Agile Frameworks account manager.

Available actions: 

• Select a project to access its specific modules & data extracts 
• Reference global resources that are comprehensive to the organization and not project or lab-specific (i.e., like equipment, global documents, certs, etc.) 

Using Accreditation – What to Expect

The Accreditation home page gives you quick links to all related modules in MetaField. It’s split into two primary sections: Project Links and General Links.

Project Links

Project Links includes all project/lab-specific modules. Select a project/lab from the dropdown to access these areas: 

• Lab QMS Documents: View project’s QMS docs (Project Admin > Specifications > Documents) 
• New Evaluation: Add an evaluation record in Field or Review (select Mobile or Desktop respectively) 
• Review Evaluations:  View project’s evaluations in the Review module 
• Delivery: Opens selected project in the Deliver module 
• Distribution: Opens the project in the Distribution area of Project Admin 

When setting up your accreditation info, you will need to add or use an existing project that is identified as an “accreditation project”.  To do this, access the project record by navigating to Projects → Project Setup. Once you have found or added a new project, set Is Accreditation Project? to Yes.

General Links

General Links contains modules that are not project or lab-specific (i.e., global to your organization), including: 

• Global Documents: Opens the Global Documents area in Admin 
• Utilities: Opens the Evaluation Data Extract area in Extracts 
• Dashboard: Opens the Evaluation area in Dashboard 
• Certifications: Opens the Certifications area in Administration 
• General Equipment: Opens the LIMS / Samples > Equipment area in Admin 
• Nuclear Gauges: Opens the Nuclear Gauges area in Admin > Density & Asphalt Testing 
• Sand Cones: Opens the Sand Cones area in Admin > Density & Asphalt Testing 
• Drive Cylinder: Opens the Drive Cylinder area in Admin > Density & Asphalt Testing

Security/Access Control 

User access to the Accreditation home screen is managed through role permissions in Admin > Security > Roles. This allows system administrators to control which Accreditation links each role can access. 

In the example below, a role has been given limited access to Accreditation. Users assigned to this role will only see the selected areas in Accreditation: 

🔹 Important: Granting access to a button on the Accreditation home screen does not automatically grant access to the underlying pages. Users must have permissions for both the button and its linked pages in MetaField.
