MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – June 5, 2018 – Agile Frameworks®, the leading provider of collaborative, cloud-based corporate, field, and lab information management enabling Profitable Engineering™ for the construction and engineering services sector, today announced Alaska Testlab has selected MetaField® to increase operational efficiencies of its construction materials testing and inspection services business.
A veteran and woman-owned small business, Alaska Testlab provides inspection services identified by the International Building Code, project plans and specifications, as well as field and laboratory testing for construction materials. Its field testing consists of sampling, soil and asphalt density testing and concrete, grout and mortar testing, while its laboratory processes soils, aggregates, rock, concrete, masonry, asphalt and geotechnical samples necessary for construction of varying elements. Alaska Testlab also provides specialty testing and is capable of outfitting remote construction sites with mobile lab units.
Owner Maria Kampsen, who purchased Alaska Testlab from DOWL in 2018, wanted to outfit the newly independent business with technology that provides efficiency and convenience to both its personnel and customers.
Alaska Testlab deployed MetaField, a subscription-based Software-as-a-Solution (SaaS) platform from Agile Frameworks, to support scheduling, dispatch, testing, collection and real-time reporting of data and results, and to streamline complex workflows for greater productivity and profitability.
